About AskMazi
Built by someone who got tired of doing things twice.
AskMazi grew from years of operating businesses, managing people, selling, building processes, and repeatedly seeing employees forced to connect software manually.
The work is practical: understand the operation, find the friction, and build the layer that makes the business work better.
The reason this exists
The problem usually isn't that a business has no software.
Will Best built and operated a real-estate marketing company for more than 17 years, overseeing sales, marketing, production, customer service, technology, staff, and financial performance. He has also led sales and operating teams in other businesses.
In his own business, he built proprietary internal software to eliminate repetitive administrative work. The resulting system reduced the administrative workload by approximately 90%.
Along the way, the same pattern kept appearing: businesses had plenty of software, spreadsheets, manual processes, and employee knowledge—but the important pieces did not fit together around how the company actually operated.
Why AskMazi exists
For a long time, most independent businesses had to adapt themselves to off-the-shelf software.
Custom software required enough money, time, and technical resources that many companies could not reasonably consider it. They adapted. They added another spreadsheet. They built another workaround. They asked another employee to remember how everything connected.
That economic equation is changing. Highly tailored operational systems are becoming practical for a wider range of companies—not because custom software should be cheap, but because the right custom layer can now be a meaningful business investment.
The operating philosophy
Buy the commodity. Build the differentiation.
Accounting software is good at accounting. Email is good at email. Calendars are good at calendars. Keep the proven tools for the jobs they already do well.
The custom layer should concentrate on the workflows, information, operating knowledge, and processes that make the business different.
01Keep the software that works.
02Custom where it matters.
03AI is optional. A useful system isn't.
Practical by design
Useful leverage is the goal.
We are not interested in replacing software merely to replace it, automating something just because it can be automated, adding AI to a problem that does not need AI, making a simple process complicated, or building technology nobody wants to use.
A Command Center should reduce friction, make important work visible, and give people a better way to run the business they are already responsible for.
